A bit about Shape Up
The Shape Up method is designed to help teams shape, bet, and build projects with clarity and focus. At its core, Shape Up is about transforming abstract ideas into well-defined projects that your team can execute within a set timeframe.
Used with Shape Up, the Hill Chart is a visual tool that helps you track the progress of your tasks. It reflects the journey of your work from uphill exploration to downhill execution
How to use
Click the Update button to enter edit mode.
Drag the items to their new positions on the hill chart
Write a description to document the changes.
Save your update to update their current positions.
Click the View Updates button to browse through saved updates.
Use the Back and Next navigation buttons to view different updates.
Each item’s historical progress can be seen as they move along the hill from one update to the next.
The hill chart is integrated with your board items. You can add new items which will appear on the chart, or apply a filter to focus on specific items.
Be careful of changing the filter when making an update! Items filtered out may not be included from one update to the next.
Up to 25 items are displayed on the hill chart. Have more to track? Use the filters and create multiple hill chart board views!
